They are torn between the freedom of the waves and the boundaries of society: Majid, a kitesurfing instructor in Tarifa, longs for his family in Morocco, who are stuck there due to visa restrictions. Margaux organises Europe's first LGBTQ-friendly surf festival in Biarritz. And Rosy, a Northern Irish surfboard shaper, searches for stability in the midst of a deeply divided community. SURF ON, EUROPE! explores Europe's promise of freedom and the ongoing challenges that threaten it.
